Almost a decade ago, I was celebrating in the heart of Singapore, with lovely lanterns and just my parents and my sister. This year, I’m with my husband in wine country! <3 Happy New Year, everyone!
Pay It Forward
There is something about me that not a lot of people can tell when they first meet me:
I am a victim of sexual abuse.
It happened at a very young age, and it was just not once, but it was continuous, and continued until my family and I moved out of the country.
I will for certain be writing about it on other occasions, but let me tell you this: at the age of 22, I am married, in college, and about to apply for a new chapter of my school career. I am well-adjusted, and I am happy. It is now that I feel that it is time to pay it forward, and look for a program that would help me help others who are in situations similar to the one that I had been in.

I hope that one day, and one day soon, I will be able to be one of those in that network, helping those in need.

A bond broken
So apparently, a mother raped her own child and filmed it, calling it a form of “sex education.”
I think there’s something wrong with the world, that this happens.
